I like to decompose soundscapes and to investigate how soundscapes are shaped by the environment (natural and anthropogenic) and how these acoustic cues can be used to infer information on biodiversity, abiotic-biotic relationships and ecosystem functioning. I like to promote interdisciplinarity & cross-boundary networking. I also enjoy teaching and mentoring young scientists. And above all, I am a wife and mom.

MEMBERSHIPS: Scientific committee of the Réserve Naturelle Marine de Cerbère-Banyuls (France), co-chair of the working group “Acoustic Measurement of Ocean Biodiversity Hotspots” of the International Quiet Ocean Experiment (IQOE) program (SCOR & POGO) and of GLUBS (Global Library of Underwater Biological Sounds).

Matt is a postdoctoral researcher working on the analysis of long-term underwater recordings to investigate biophonic variability in subtidal marine forests. Analyses will link soundscape features with environmental dynamics and ecosystem change.

Dynamics of marine forest soundscapes in the face of environmental change

Marine's PhD (2023-2026) is centered around the data collected during the TREC expedition within the BIOcean5D project.

Effects of Atlantification on the dynamics of Arctic soundscapes: Biodiversity, biotic activity and interactions

Lucie's PhD (2025-2028) is centered around the work of the Tara Polar Station in collaboration with the researchers of the "pelagic group" that aim to identify and quantify the links between seasonal and spatial changes in physical ocean conditions and the pelagic ecosystem of the Central Arctic Ocean.

Neve works on the unknown sound libraries and the 5Terre acoustic monitoring program since December 2025. She holds a Master's from the University of Le Mans (F) in Applied Acoustics and developed strong skills in signal processing and bioacoustics.

Benoit works on the DEEPLIFE project since January 2026. He analyses the acoustic maps of mesophotic animal forests to contribute to better understand their functioning. He holds a Master's degree in in Marine Sciences –Physics and bio-geochemistry with a strong background in signal processing, marine acoustics, physics and ecology.
